This is Mack, a monster imagined by Edison in elementary school. Mack eats anything with meat and lives under Edisons bed! I re-imagined Mack, inspired by the Monster Project where artists recreate monsters drawn by elementary school kids!
After recreating the each monster, we professionally print them and present them back for the kids to keep. I’ve been fortunate enough to work at a company with lots of designers where every year we do this for an entire grade of an elementary school. When presenting these back to the kids in the classes it’s incredibly uplifting to hear the joy and inspiration they get, some even say they want to be artists now. That gives me the energy to come back every year. I love how this project works as a forcing mechanism to flex my creativity.
